Large numbers are no problem; 100, 200, the more the merrier. You will sail on some of the best yachts on the Derwent in a genuine yacht race. Enjoy a fabulous BBQ lunch at one of Hobart’s oldest yacht clubs and meet the skippers and crew of the yachts you will be crewing on (typically 6 guests per yacht).
Races usually last about 2 hours and end across the Sydney to Hobart finish line. All guests will be trained to participate in the race but it is not necessary for them to do so (a racing crew will also be onboard). After the race there will be prize giving, drinks and nibbles at the yacht club where we share a few tall tales and a whole lot of lies. The BBQ can be held at this end of the program if you prefer.
With any large group there may be some that don't feel comfortable racing. For this group we can include a Parade of Sail involving some of Hobart's fabulous Tall Ships. These boats make a terrific stable platform for viewing the race while still participating in the day on the river.
Extras available include specially embroidered Musto polo shirts and caps (with company logos if required) and professional photos of the race, covering all yachts participating and the onshore events.
