Gourmet Rendezvous

There are all sorts of different ways we can combine the the delights of fine Tasmanian food and drink and a fantastic sailing experience ... we like to add a little something extra.  Adding the 'extra' is where we get really creative.

How about adding a convoy of helicopters into the mix:

Half the group participates in a match-race to Denne's Point, Bruny Island (approx 2 hours) while the other half are taken by helicopter convoy  on a spectacular sightseeing flight around Hobart and Bruny Island (approx 30 minutes), landing at Dennes Point. All meet up at the fabulous foodies’ Jetty Cafe at the point for a gourmet island produce meal, served with fine Tasmanian wines and beers, before swapping ‘vehicles’ for a return race or sightseeing flight. What more could you ask for!

We could always join forces with Rob Pennicott's boats:

Up to 36 passengers board our two 62 foot yachts for a race down the river to a sheltered anchorage.  Another group of up to 36 take off from the Hobart docks onboard one of Rob Pennicott's three high speed vessels for one of their tours of the Iron Pot Lighthouse region, before rafting up with the yachts at anchor for a gourmet lunch, provided by one of Hobart's top restaurants, and a taste of Tasmania's fine wines and beer.  Go for a swim, try your luck fishing or walk along the secluded beach.  Everybody then swaps vessels and experiences for the trip back to the Hobart docks.  We can do this for up to 72 passengers.

Let's spend the night together:

Sail down to Denne's Point on North Bruny Island where you are met by the operators of the Bruny Island Long Weekend.  Travel with them to see the sights and collect food and wine from the local producers.  In the afternoon you will meet up with us again at Allonah, South Bruny Island, where we will cook up a fabulous evening meal to be enjoyed onboard, before retiring to your private cabin for a great nights rest at anchor.  Awake in the morning to a cooked breakfast before setting sail for home on the sheltered waters of Dentrecasteaux Channel, stopping off at the famous Peppermint Bay restaurant for one of their delicious lunches. You will arrive back in Hobart at the end of another unforgettable day with Hobart Yachts.  We can do this for up to 6 on one yacht or 12 on both.

There are endless possibilities.  Get in touch and we can start building a package together.
